In the midst of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis in the Philippines, the Green Cross, Inc. vowed to continue producing alc
ohol and germicidal soap.
On its Facebook page Green Cross Philippines, the company assured that it will continue to produce enough supply despite the limitations that it is currently facing because of the enhanced community quarantine that covers the whole Luzon.
“We at Green Cross are working very hard to continue producing alc
ohol and germicidal soap to help address the surge in demand due to the spread of the coronavirus dis ease, COVID-19. Despite the limitations we currently face given the enhanced community quarantine measures, our production lines are running around the clock to meet the unprecedented demand, particularly for alcohol,” the statement noted.
“We are making arrangements to ensure the safety of our employees by providing transportation, staff accommodations, meals, vitamins, alcohol pumping stations, and regular sanitation of the production lines,” it added.
Meanwhile, the company asked for public participation when it comes to buying its products.
“While we are working to have more alc
ohol delivered in the coming days, we urge consumers to cooperate with authorities and to do their share in normalizing demand by limiting to two bottles their purchase of alc ohol, an essential medical supply. At home, we recommend that good hygiene remains a top priority and that proper hand washing is practiced with the use of soap that also provides germs protection for you and your family. Kaya natin ‘to. Together, we are stronger,” it said.
