Recently, the actress gave an update on her Facebook account. She said, “To those wondering about Kuya Jun, he’s happy and healthy with all his furbabies and is now a caretaker at @pawssionproject, who gave him a loving home.”

She uploaded a photo of him smiling happily with a fur baby on his lap. Mang Jun is holding a piece of paper that read,” Stay at home and thank you sa mga frontliners.”

It has been almost five months since the Kapuso star discovered him in a street in Gilmore. Mang Jun lived there for two decades. The 61-year old homeless man used to have a family of his own, but due to differences in status in life with his wife, they were separated. He has a son but was taken away from him.

Left alone, he finds comfort in taking care of stray dogs he found on the streets. Some were given to him after completing temporary jobs. Over time, his family grew big that he had seven of them; giving him unconditional love.

Mang Jun survived his daily life by being a street sweeper. Even with his small pay, he makes sure that his dogs are regularly fed. Yes, all seven of them. Such a pure heart indeed!

Finally, with Heart and PAWSsion Project’s help, he was able to have a place in the shelter, safe and full of love together with his pets. He is paid as a caretaker; a job he that he loves. Seeing him happy and healthy right now reminds us that good things come to people who continue to have faith despite the challenges.

Thanks for the update, Miss Heart!
