Nearly a decade ago, the Philippine entertainment industry lost one of its most promising actors, AJ Perez.
On Facebook, AJ’s young brother Angello Perez posted a t
earje rking tribute for the late Kapamilya star.
“Nine years since you left, but I’ve always made it a point to dedicate all my accomplishments to you. You would have been a college graduate by now. This year, I’d like to believe that we are graduating together and I will be thinking of you when I receive that diploma. Thank you for always being my inspiration,” Angello expressed in a post that has been making rounds online as fans remember the late actor who has been very popular back then; getting more than 65,000 reactions, as of writing.
Every year, Angello honors the memory of his brother through touching social media posts. He also uploads old photos of them every once in a while.
In his 2018 post, he wrote, “Sometimes I wonder what my li
fe would be like if you hadn’t left us on this day. April 17 would be just another date for me and we’d probably spend today doing what we’d usually do, when things were more simple. I know that this can never be the case and I’ve learned that just because we can’t find a reason for why things happen, it doesn’t mean the reason doesn’t exist. I’ve spent seven years thinking about what could’ve been, but the one thing I’m sure of is the love and gratitude I have for you. The kind of love that would last beyond a li fetime.”
Fondly remembered for his angelic face and superb acting skills, the Kapamilya actor’s remarkable roles include his characters in “Abt Ur Luv”, “Sabel”, and “Maalaala Mo Kaya -Tsinelas” where he got a Golden Screen TV Awards for the “Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Single Drama/Telemovie Program” category.
