“Some of my jobs when I was in college: a crew/customer service associate in Video City and service crew in the fast food restaurant McDonald’s. I was a working student to support my studies. I’ve worked in the morning and studied in the evening,” he shared.
“Then, I finished my studies and graduated, getting a degree in education; major in physics, chemistry, and biology. After that, I tried auditioning to different reality shows; the Pinoy Pop Superstar (GMA-7) and Pinoy Dream Academy (ABS-CBN-2),” he continued, adding the #dontgiveup.
A lot of LinkedIn users thanked the television personality–who is now a pilot and an army reservist–for encouraging them to give their best and do everything in order to reach their dreams.
A few also shared their experiences as a working student, like IT consultant Pedro Villanueva.
“I can relate, too,” he wrote. “I was a working student, as well, to support my studies in college. The most challenging part is being independent where no one prepared your food and washed your clothes, which I had to do after work. All of those things paid off.
hay, working students out there! Great success waiting for you, guys, just keep going and focus!”
