  • A student headed a fundraiser campaign for frontliners and families affected by the enhanced community quarantine
  • He has pooled more than P80,000 in financial donations and gathered goods for basic needs
  • Behind his initiative and hard work is a proud father who regularly shares his updates on social media

In reaching out to others at this time of COVID, you do not need to be in power to help.  You do not need to be popular either.  All you need is a pure and sincere heart to gain people’s trust.

Yes, a student from the De La Salle University has proven that he, too, can make a difference.

Joshua Andrei Jawod created Sagip Frontlliner earlier in April and his fundraiser campaign has gone a long way.  300 sanitizers were donated to the medical team, police, traffic management officers and cleaners.  100 of those were dropped at the Taguig Pateros District Hospital. Apart from this, he has distributed fruits, cupcakes, soap, powdered milk and canned goods to their neighbors and tricycle drivers affected by the ECQ.

With regards to financial donations, Sagip Frontliner has pooled P89,141.  For transparency, he regularly publishes updates on the financial support and goods received, including the recipients.

And who’s proud of this young man? His father!

No other than Jude Hawod always share on his social media account his son’s updates on his campaign.  Jude never forgets to extend his gratitude to donors for answering his son’s call to help. On his post, it can be clearly felt he is happy with his efforts and puts credit to his son all the time. Well, knowing you’re raising a fine son truly fills the heart with joy.

People in their community expressed through social media how thankful they are for the relief goods.  There had been remarkable praises for Joshua and the family too.

“Joshua Andrei, we are so proud of what you are doing.  Doing your share to help those around you! We thank God for your entire family.”

“Good job Joshua.  Salute to your good heart for the needy.  May you continue to be a blessing to others.  God Bless you and your family.”

Despite being just a student presently, Joshua Andrei has done a fantastic job.  Rather than sitting all day long playing mobile games, he makes sure he has his contribution in this time of pandemic and ECQ.

Keep it up!
