  • He is grateful to her for raising him the way a child should be raised

For Lyxen’s birthday, Andre penned a sweet message for his beloved stepmother.

On Instagram, the Kapuso actor shared a sweet photo of the two of them together; thanking Lyxen for being his mother and raising him the way a child should be raised.

He acknowledged his stepmother’s role in his life saying he wouldn’t be the person that he is if Lyxen was a bad person.

Andre promised his stepmother he will continue to protect her from other people who continue to hurl negative things against her.

“No matter what people say against you I’m still here to back you up and protect you. I love you and thank you for being my mom,”  he wrote

He added that although his dad and stepmom gave him the go-signal to move out if he wants, he still chose to live in their house, because he doesn’t want to miss waking up to an amazing family.

Recently, the actor spent time with his birth mother, Jackie Foster, on the birthday of his younger sibling, Yohan.

Andre and Kobe reconciled with Jackie in 2018 after years of estrangement.

Unlike Kobe, Andre isn’t visible in photos with his mother and half-siblings with Jackie; fueling rumors that  there’s  still a rift between them.

In a previous PEP story, the basketball player-actor put down the rumors saying: “Okay kami. Ang isyu, pinagtatawanan na lang namin. Of course, ganoon talaga ang social media.”  He further disclosed then that they have private lives and they don’t need to share everything to the world.

Meanwhile, his IG post truly speaks volumes.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM?? I want to thank you for being there for me and taking care of me all these years. I’m thankful that we were able to live a private and simple life. I hate how people think they know you and say hurtful and mean things. It makes you wonder how in the world people come up with these negative things yet we live a private life. If you were a bad person who raised me shouldn’t I also have a bad reputation and a bad life? No, that’s because you and dad raised me the way a child should be raised. I’m 24 and you and dad support me in moving out but I still choose to live under your roof because I don’t want to miss waking up to an amazing family. No matter what people say against you I’m still here to back you up and protect you. I love you and thank you for being my mom
