Working in the morning and studying at night, Eduardo Roquinaza Jr. made the Filipinos proud in Dubai. He didn’t just finish his MBA in Human Resources in one of the top universities — Canadian University Dubai (CUD). He also graduated cum laude. Wow!

His success was even made more significant when his photo was flashed on the tallest building in the world, the famous Burj Khalifa. Due to the COVID situation, no big ceremony was held. Instead, their images were displayed on the building to recognize the graduates. Eduardo is the only Filipino who graduated cum laude in batch 2020.

His proud parents went to Dubai to celebrate his accomplishment.

Eduardo works as a full-time senior HR officer in an oil and gas company in Jebel Ali Freezone.

In his interview with The Global Filipino magazine, he reportedly cited that studying and working at the same time is not new to him. While attaining his Bachelor’s degree at the Silliman University in Dumaguete City, he was already juggling three jobs, yet he pulled it off and finished with high honors.

He added that 11 years ago, taking a course at the university was just a dream. His financial status took him awhile to pursue his course.

He arrived n Dubai in 2008 and has built his resume working with different companies like real estate, pharmaceutical and logistics. It gave him opportunities to tour around the US, UK, Europe, and the Middle East.

Thank you for raising the Filipino banner, Eduardo! Congratulations!
