- He is now perpetually banned from entering the country
- He left PH three days after the incident despite facing charges
The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has blacklisted the Spanish national involved in a scu
ffle with polic e officers in Makati City from entering the country.
In April, Spanish businessman Javier Salvador Parra was cau
ght on video in physical and verbal al tercation with co ps after his househelp was confronted for not wearing a face mask while watering the plants outside their residence in posh Dasmariñas Village. The incident happened last April 26.
Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente said he ordered that Parra’s name be included in the bureau’s blacklist after learning the Spaniard left the country last April 29. He was supposedly allowed to leave the country because there were still no formal char
ges filed against him back then.
“Now that he has been placed in our Immigration blacklist, he is perpetually banned from reentering the Philippines for being an undesirable alien,” Morente said.
The BI official warned other foreigners “who disrespect our laws and persons of authority” that they will suffer the same fate and do not deserve the privilege to stay in country.
Parra is facing a string of crimi
nal ch arges including unjust ve xation, direct assault, and disobedience to authority, and for not wearing a face mask (a violation of Bayanihan to Heal as One Act) filed by the Makati polic e.
He was given until May 21 to submit his counter affidavits but BI said the foreigner ignored their notices.
In the video, which has gone viral on social media, Parra was caught cur
sing and hurling expl etives at co ps during the alterc ation.
polic e failed to arr est him as he manage to free himself before running back to their house.
