Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and eight-year-old daughter, Aaradhya, tested positive for COVID-19.
Her actor husband Abhishek Bachchan broke the news on Sunday via his Twitter account.
“Aishwarya and Aaradhya have also tested COVID-19 positive. They will be self-quarantining at home. The BMC has been updated on their situation and is doing the needful. The rest of the family, including my Mother, have tested negative. Thank you all for your wishes and prayers.”
Abhishek Bachchan, 44, first announced that he and his father, Amitabh Bachchan, are COVID-positive and were brought to Nanavati Ho
spital. He tweeted an update of them on Sunday.
“My father and I remain in ho
spital till the doctors decide otherwise. Everyone, please remain cautious and safe. Please follow all rules!”
spital officials released a statement on Sunday that both are fine and in stable condition.
Aishwarya Rai, 46, is considered Bollywood’s megastar. The actress is a constant lister and once topped in “The Most Beautiful Woman in the World”. She was also a winner of Miss World in 1994.
Her eye color “is among the world’s most googled body parts of celebrities,” according to Quora. Media outlets dub it as green, which is rare for an Asian while others say it is light brown. But in one interview, she said, “My eyes pick up different tones depending on what I am wearing,” she said. “It accentuates more blue or more green accordingly, so I’d say the colour is grey-green, like the sea.”
She appears in endorsements for L’Oréal, Coca-Cola and De Beers diamonds. In 2004, Time Magazine named her one of the most influential people in the world.
