Veteran actress Cherie Gil to conduct online acting masterclass, share a part of the proceeds to charity

Veteran and award-winning actress Cherie Gil revealed an exciting offer for all aspiring actors.

Starting July 7, she will hold an acting masterclass online via Zoom. She posted her syllabus on Instagram.

“Truly excited for this. My very first online masterclass! Join me as we journey together through the magical, crazy, and wonderful world of creative expression through acting and more!” she said on her post.

The workshop is open to interested individuals who are 18 years old and above. The actress will be sharing her experiences throughout her 45 years in the industry, especially in the field of drama.

Gil divulged that this was something she wanted to do years ago and that she even opened up about it in an interview with Boy Abunda. Fortunately, the lockdown gave her time to materialize her plan while she was also writing her workbook on acting.

Since her posting, a lot has expressed their excitement, including several celebrities like Barbie Forteza, Chynna Ortaleza and Mylene Dizon. On her latest post, it featured no other than Lea Salonga giving recommendations for her project.

“To take a masterclass with an actor who is unquestionably one of the titans of our industry, whether it be on film, television or the stage, is an incredible privilege that should not be missed,” Lea said.

Part of the proceeds will be given to Save Our Schools Network, an organization of child-focused NGOs, church-based groups and other stakeholders advocating for children’s right to education.
