The Kapamilya Channel has aired the trailer of its first teleserye, “Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin,” on Monday, June 20.
Jodi Sta. Maria heads the drama as Marissa, a villain in a character motivated by greed. She is envious of her best friend, Ellice (Iza Calzado), a wealthy woman. In one unfortunate event, Ellice had acci
dentally hurt her aggressor in her act of self-defense. But Marissa took the charges, admitting she committed the crim e, in exchange of P10M offered by Ellice’s father (Lito Pimentel).
However, her fate behind bars turned for the worse and became longer than she had expected. That’s when her feelings took a turn. She blamed her suffering to her best friend. She had no idea that Ellice was against what her father did. Throughout Marissa’s time in pri
son, Ellice worries about her and checks on her situation.
Marissa was released and she got the money, as promised. She set her plans to take revenge and get all of Ellice’s wealth, including her husband Gabriel (Sam Milby).
This teleserye was initially planned to make its debut on March 23. But the coronavirus pandemic has pushed its airing schedule because filming activities had been postponed. Iza Calzado also tested positive with the virus and has recovered fully.
Furthermore, when ABS-CBN was under trial, it left the management with uncertainty. Unfortunately, the franchise renewal was denied by the lower House; resulting in massive retrenchment of the network’s employees, including cancellation of some programs.
“Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin” managed to surpass the cost-cutting and has resumed filming on the first week of July.
This teleserye is produced by JRB Creative Productions and will start showing in August.
