Laura Beatrice Buenavista is the challenger from Negros Occidental who definitely has a show stopper performance for the Tocotoco challenge. Her video has earned more than 2M views in just one day and still counting.

On July 27, famous beauty pageant shoemaker Jojo Bragais thought of bringing the Tocotoco challenge to a different level when he announced that he will reward the 5 best video entries using his shoes.

“Simple game! Just for fun! No limitations! Be edgy! Be crazy! Be funny! Do what your guts tells you!” he said on social media. With easy instructions to follow, one can be eligible to submit their entry in an instant.

The Tocotoco challenge started on TikTok where performers do the ramp walk in rhythm to the Tocotoco song. Some users – mostly from the LGBT community – wear heels to give more pageantry appeal on their walk This gave Jojo Bragais the idea for his competition.

Laura Beatrice teamed up with costume designer Jay Sumagaysay and videographer Darren Alvarez Cotamen to film her entry at Barangay Kapitan Ramon, Silay City.

Her video reveals the high-heeled shoes in the beginning, and then from behind the rock, she rises, bathed in mud. Then wearing the shoes, she then walks along the narrow island in the paddy keeping her balance flawlessly.

She has lifted several props like baked-clay water jar or banga, shovel, carabao sled and even two small kids. She even walked on the slippery floors of a creek with rushing waters and executed Catriona Gray’s famous slow-mo twirl without any problem!

Jojo said there will be four winners of P1,000 cash plus a pair of his shoes and the grand prize will bring home P10,000 plus a pair of his shoes. The winners will be announced on August 6.

So far he has been overwhelmed with the response.
