This pandemic has brought to the spotlight our modern-day heroes of today’s COVID generation. They are our dear frontliners who have been risking their lives since the start of the battle; finding solutions to solve the biggest problem we are facing and treating those who require medical help.

In celebration of the National Heroes Day this year, the Best-Designed Campus Papers of the Philippines made a tribute to give honor to our frontliners’ incomparable service. It showcases the song “Posible” originally performed by Rivermaya with music and lyrics by Rico Blanco.

A female singer, Jera Nebalga, gives the song a fresh, emotional appeal that lingers throughout the film. Vince Abcde Betonio made the new arrangement.

The song talks about being optimistic — that we can surpass these challenges by moving forward and persevering towards what our heart desires.

At the beginning of the video is a clip from the short film, Replay. It shows a daughter and a mother who conversed through a video call but was cut short because the mother, a medical worker, needed to get back to work. It’s a dramatization of what is sacrificed among frontliners in the call of duty.

Real-life scenarios of health workers, essential goods workers, police and army personnel and individuals across the country who perform their roles amid the pandemic are highlighted on the almost 7-minute production. Prepare tissue as it could bring you to tears.

A chance to spend more time with loved ones, a chance to have more meaningful and longer conversations and a chance to protect their own families are just among the things they wish to do, but they can’t. Today their lives are dedicated to the bigger public who needs them the most.

The BDCP wishes to give importance and express gratitude to what our frontliners have done and are continuously doing for us.

Don’t forget to share the video and tag a frontliner, please.
