The legacy of the late vlogger Lloyd Cafe Cadena lives on.
Kween LC’s family extended help to 100 families who are currently seeking shelter at San Mateo Elementary School in Rizal after being affected by Typhoon Ulysses which battered parts of Luzon, leaving many homeless.
Lloyd’s sister Suzette took over his channel to share the relief operations they conducted. “Alam n’yo naman na noong mga nakaraang araw ay may nanalasang bagyo sa ating bansa, so naisipan namin na ipagpatuloy ‘yong ginagawa ni Lloyd na pamamahagi sa mga nasalanta,” she said.
Her family joined hands in repacking the relief goods that contain basic necessities such as rice, canned goods, milk, sugar, and coffee. They also gave the evacuees a box of face mask to give the evacuees protection against COVID-19.
Suzette coordinated with faculty members from San Mateo Elementary School where there are more than 1,800 evacuees.
Lloyd passed away last September due to COVID-19.
He was well-loved by his supporters because of his generosity. Lloyd was fond of sharing his blessings to the needy, especially his neighbors in the squatter’s area where they used to live. He even gave away tablets to deserving students so they can use something for their online classes this school year.
“Simula noon, mahilig talagang mamahagi si Lloyd ng blessings,” Suzette added.
She also praised Lloyd for successfully holding relief operations in the past because now that she has experienced organizing one, she realized that it was not an easy task. “So proud of Lloyd kasi nakakayanan niya lahat from preparations, sa paghahanap ng pagbibigyan, and ‘yong effort.”
She also requested continued support for Lloyd and his mother’s vlog so they can help more people in need.
