When we all thought the world is falling apart, some people are so thoughtful to brighten up our day.
demic has dwindled the world’s economy. Jobs were lost. Some businesses were shut down. Unfortunately, the effects have still been lingering up to now.
A restaurant in Ohio, Cleveland Jazz Joint Nighttown, was on its last day of oper
ation last November 22 because it will temporarily close due to the pan demic. That same night, a man walked in and ordered one drink—-Stella Artois. After finishing up the bottle he asked for his bill. The drink only costs $7 but what left the restaurant owner dumbfounded was the massive tip this guy left him. He even told him to share the tip with the wait staff.
“As he walked out I looked down at the tip and realized he left a whopping $3,000 tip on a single b
eer purchase,” Brendan Ring, the owner shared on social media.
He immediately ran after him thinking it was just a mistake. But the guy told him, “We will see you when you reopen!”
“Unbelievable but symbolic of the kind of quality folks we have known at Nighttown all these years,” Brendan felt overwhelmed.
Netizens were amazed by the guy’s kind gesture. They too had been wishing the resto can reopen very soon.
“Whoever you are the Nighttown branch staff is praising you. Such a generous thing to do!!! See you all in the spring. We’ll be missing our wonderful customers. Come back in the spring folks. “
“What a brilliant gesture! We’ll all miss you like crazy but look forward to seeing you soon. Take care all of you.”
“Shows the respect and admiration for all the hard work you do Brendan and the great staff you have beside you. Best to all, look forward to seeing you all soon.”
Reading the comments, it seemed the restaurant has been great in dealing with its customers. Well, all their hard work has paid off. We do hope to hear this restaurant reopen the soonest cause their patrons will truly miss them.
