- The number of Filipinos with no love life is also at an all-time high at 18 percent, surpassing the previous record of 14 percent
- Meanwhile, only 39 percent said they will celebrate Valentine’s Day
Fifty percent of Filipinos are very happy with their love life, a survey conducted by Social Weather Stations (SWS) found.
Conducted among 1,500 adults from November 21 to 25, 2020, the SWS survey also revealed that 31 percent of Pinoys believe their love life could be happier, while 18 percent say they do not have a love life.
“The latest percentage of those with a very happy love life is the lowest since the 49 percent in 2014,” SWS revealed.
Those with no love life are at an all-time high after surpassing the previous record of 14 percent in 2016, 2017, and 2019.
Meanwhile, only 39 percent will celebrate Valentine’s Day this weekend; 31 percent said they are undecided and 27 percent said they will not celebrate it.
Of the respondents who said they will celebrate Heart’s Day, which fell on a Sunday, 45 percent said they will go to Church or attend religious services, 27 percent will give gifts to their loved ones, 25 percent will prepare a special food at home, and 11 percent will send Valentine’s greetings online or via SMS.
Others answered that they will send greetings through letters or greeting cards (7 percent); visit their girlfriend or boyfriend (4 percent); visit tourist spots with their spouse or loved ones (3 percent); serenade their spouse or loved ones in their house (2 percent); greet their loved ones in person (1 percent); serenade their spouse or loved ones online (1 percent), and go out with their spouse or loved ones (1 percent).
