Once you have entered motherhood, younever stop being a mother: 98-year-old mom takes care of her 80-year-old son.
In a beautiful story of a mother’s love, a 98-year-old mother moves into a care home to be with her 80-year-old son.
They say that a mother’s love has no boundaries and that you never stop being a mother. Ada Keating, who is now 98 years old, proved that old age will not stop her from taking care of her son, Tom.
Tom Keating, now 80 years old, had never married and had moved in at Moss View care home in the U.K. in 2016.
A year later, his mother, Ada, decided to join him, and they have been inseparable since.

A Mother’s Perpetual Love

Ada shared with Liverpool Echo that Tom is still like the little boy she used to know:
I say goodnight to Tom in his room every night, and I’ll go and say good morning to him. I’ll tell him I’m coming down for breakfast.- Ada Keating
She added:
When I go out to the hairdresser’s, he’ll look for me to see when I’m coming back. When I get back, he’ll come to me with his arms outstretched and give me a big hug.- Ada Keating
Ada delightfully exclaimed:
You never stop being a mum!- Ada Keating

The Lucky Child

Tom also shared that he just loves that his mommy is around. He said:
She’s very good at looking after me. Sometimes she’ll say, ‘Behave yourself!’- Tom Keating
Philip Daniels, the care home manager, said that they are trying to make sure the two get all the care that they need.
Daniels said:
It’s very rare to see mothers and their children together in the same care home, and we certainly want to make their time together as special as possible.- Philip Daniels
Indeed, nothing can compare to a mother’s love!
